Friday - Oct.24

Friday - Oct.24                 A Day at Sea

We began our morning off once again up on Deck 11 on the  walking/jogging track.  As we came around to the starboard side of the ship the wind was so powerful it was a real workout just to stand upright and push forward!
                    We enjoyed another spectacular sunrise!
There were many more folks up early this morning trying to capture this beautiful sunrise on our last day on the ship.

We absolutely loved this Taco Bar where they would hand you a warm corn or flour tortilla filled open-faced with meat....
...then you proceed to the Salsa Bar where there were a myriad of toppings to choose from!  You could pile on a little or a lot!

Right next to the Taco Bar is the Burrito Bar where you choose from the selection of fillings to be wrapped into a huge flour tortilla.  Scrumptious!
Tacos and Burritos were our early breakfast following our three mile walk.

We then attended the "Morning Show"  starring our Cruise Director and his assistant in the huge main lounge.  Very entertaining guys!
They brought in a couple of Cabin Stewards to give a towel animal demonstration class.  I admired Tom for his participation, being much more adventuresome than me, since I did not even want to attempt it.
This is Susie from Lubbock, Tx. (who was on our bike tour yesterday in Cozumel) with her very good rendition of an elephant!
Tom sort of gave up on the elephant however the next towel animal demonstrated was a dog and Tom nailed that one!
Congratulations on a very cool dog, Tom!   Now Tom can make our very own towel animals at home, right Sweetie?

We went to the "Sea Day Brunch" again today where I ordered the Funniest French Toast again, this time covered in Frosted Flakes Cereal.  I failed to take a photo of it but I liked it better than the Honey Nut Cheerios French Toast that I had on Tuesday!

Carnival Cruise Lines has a tradition on the last day at sea with a fund raiser for St. Jude Children Hospital.  With a $10 or more donation you receive a tee shirt.  In just a short time $5,000 was raised!

We were treated to an awesome sunset this evening!

Tom is saying "open..open" as we wait outside the Paris Dining Room doors tonight.
Once again the dining room waiters were ready to entertain us on our last night on the ship with the younger brave ones atop the small round serving tables showing off their dance moves!  The dining room wait team has a way of always making us feel so special.

Our table companions Sharan and Steve White....

...and the newlyweds, Huey and Cookie Johnson.  We enjoyed our dinner and conversation each night with these two couples.

BooBoo's last night with the towel animals...

Saturday - Oct. 25
Galveston appears on the horizon as we are nearing land at first light.
We make our way up to Deck 11 for the last time on this trip for our morning walk and are blessed with another awesome sunrise!
Can you tell we like sunrises and sunsets??

I loved these photos showing all the cargo ships silhouetted on the horizon against the backdrop of a sensational sunrise!

I have to have a breakfast taco one last time before we disembark!  That is Tom's burrito next to my open-faced taco.
I filled my taco with so much good stuff from the Salsa Bar I will have to eat it with a fork since I can't even fold it over or pick it up!

Disembarkation went very smoothly and we were heading home before 10:00 a.m.  We stopped off for a quick hello to my brother Don and wife Beth at their Dry Cleaning business in Huntsville, Tx.  We were sorry to make it such a short quick hello however we were ready to get home.  We love traveling but are always so ready to get back home!  No place like it in the whole wide world!

Another great Cruise Vacation, by far the most economical vacation for us!
