Once again we began our day with room service coffee, pastries, and fruit before heading up to the walking/jogging track to do our three-mile walk.
No pretty sunrise this morning, only heavily laden overcast skies...
as we walk our 30 laps=3 miles around the track as we see rain in the distance.....
...as some of the ships crew are preparing for a towel animal show.
There are towel animals sitting on every available surface around the pool area!
Some are even floating in the pool on a boogie board! Too cute!
What a sight! A different towel animal for every pool lounger!
We disembark the ship and join our Electric Bike and Snorkel Tour. I was a little apprehensive at first but once I got the hang of using the handlebar throttle, what a great ride it was. No peddling necessary! Tom and I both wished the Electric Bike portion of our tour could have been extended longer. Our guides led us along the shoreline, stopping at several points of interest along the way.
Me & Tom
Catalina & Christopher from Connecticut
We also met a couple from Lubbock, Gary and Susie, who were the other couple on our bike tour. (I was surprised that there were only six of us signed up for this tour.)
As always, BooBoo is having a grand time!
We pose atop a commemorative pyramid which celebrates the union of two cultures, the Mayan and the Spanish.
Along our bike ride we also stop at the historic airport.
We arrive back at the Club Cozumel Caribe following our bike ride, where Tom puts on his snorkeling gear...
...and enters the crystal clear blue waters of the Caribbean....
...to enjoy seeing all the sea life beneath the surface. While Tom snorkeled I sat in a beach lounger under a palm tree and "people watched", getting into the water a couple of times to get wet and cool off.
This was an unusual tree standing all alone on the beach...
As always there were mariachi bands serenading us as we made our way through the gauntlet of shops as we returned to our ship, the Carnival Triumph.
Welcoming us aboard with a smile, and of course more towel animals.
We waved goodbye to Cozumel as we pulled away from the pier.
Tomorrow we will enjoy another day at sea as we make our way back to Galveston...........
